The Talgo Foundation Chair at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, specifically at the School of Industrial Engineering (CATUPMI) in the “Railway Engineering & Technology” program, has as its mission teaching, knowledge generation, dissemination, research, and technology and expertise transfer in a scientific and technical area of common interest, primarily in the rail mobility sector. This includes important topics such as dynamics and aerodynamics, vibroacoustic behavior, new materials, wheel-rail contact, and traction, among others. It also aims to provide comprehensive training in the skills that society may demand in any other aspects related to rail mobility, whether national or international.
CATUPMI is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of all its stakeholders through high-quality training, which will always strive for continuous improvement.
The fulfillment of all this will lead to the promotion of a training plan that enables students to achieve the professional skills required by the labor market, contributing to an increase in productivity and well-being.
